ASSIGNMENT 2
Assalamualaikum everybody.............
TASK 1
Today i want to share my opinion on my listening experience.When first time i listen to Prof. David Crystal recording,i don't understand what he said because he use standart word on he speak.After i listen so many time i can understand what story that Prof.David want to tell about.I choose title 'happy-clappy'.In this title some of the word that Prof. David use i don't understand and i rarely found and read before.Here, i list some word that i don't know the meaning:
1 extrovert- penunjuk,orang yang lincah dan peramah
2 restricted- mengehad; menyekat; membatasi
3 sorts- orang yang berwatak tertentu; mengasingkan mengikut jenis
4 mildly- secara halus
5 mocking- olok-olok; pura-pura; maya
6 distaste- rasa benci ; rasa jijik
7 circumstance- keadaan; hal; perihal
TASK 2
In learning English page i choose title ' The Flatmates ' and the story of this title is temper tantrums. Temper Tantrums refer to someone who suddenly fell anger without any reason or never listen what people around them talking about. In this story it about dialogue between Paul and Alice. Paul ask to Alice about his daughter,Ellie, either she's ok or not when he come home.Alice said Ellie very hyperactive and have a some problem but for Paul that situation is normal for kids who was five years old.Alice tell Paul that his daughter have a temper tantrum and she think paul parenting skill aren't too good. This dialogue between Alice and Paul is easy to understand because they use a simple word.

Assignment 2:listening and writing
Assalamualaikum....For task 2 activities i choose the topic 'binge' by Professor Crystal. First, i listen this text, but i can't understand because his speak very fast and some word new for me. After i read this text, i can understand this text and this text just talk about "binge". In my opinion, this text was easy to understand because this text is short and many word easy to understand.
After i read this text, i can know some means:
1)binge-drinking in those days.
2)binge eating-it was a disorder, an actual medical condition, you would see a doctor about
it.
3)binge drinking-people who drink in order to get drunk, drinking large quantities quickly,
and for fun.
4)caffeine binge-too much coffee.
5)chocolate binge-too much chocolate.
6)binge shopping-people now go on shopping sprees.
7)cocaine binge-you get it in the context of drug.
Actually the word of "binge" also many meaning. So, there are many definition about "binge". In a conclusion, i really like to read this text and i enjoy.

This time, I am going to give some comments on the learning English website. As I listen to prof david crystal’s talk on the topic that I have chosen in the website, I have notice some of the new words available.
First topic: ‘bling’
In this first topic, prof david crystal talks about the term ‘bling’ which means something to describe diamonds and jewellery and all kinds of showy clothing, or accoutrements.
I have found some words that are new to me, and they are:
- accoutrements
- glistening
- broaden
- passé
- worthless
Second topic: ‘blog’
This one is about blog and as I listen to what prof david crystal said, I have notice some new vocabularies that I can add to my vocabulary list.

- Coinage
- Phrase
- Blogosphere
- Blogarrhoea
When I listen to the recording, it is not just a matter of understanding the content but also a matter of learning the correct pronunciation of words. So, by listening to the recording, I will practice to pronounce the words correctly. Listening to the actual pronunciation of a native speaker can help you in such an effective way.
First, I listen to the recording but I did not get the main point so I listen to it for the second time. This time, I look at the tape script and look for the words that I could not understand. I have listened to the recording 5 times to understand the whole topic.
